What is Micro-Perforated Kraft Paper?
It's a standard kraft paper (brown, durable, paper-based) that has undergone a special process where a series of extremely tiny, closely spaced holes are punched through it. These perforations are designed to be "micro," meaning they are not easily visible from a distance and don't significantly compromise the paper's tensile strength until you intentionally tear it.

Why is it Ideal for CAM Cutting?

1.Clean, Easy-to-Detach Parts: The primary benefit. After the cutting path is scored or partially cut by the machine, the parts can be cleanly "popped out" from the surrounding sheet (the "matrix") along the micro-perforated lines. This eliminates the need for manual cutting with scissors or knives, which can be imprecise and time-consuming.

2.Holds Intricate Designs in Place: Unlike a through-cut, micro-perforations keep delicate and intricate pieces securely in the sheet until you are ready to remove them. This is crucial for:

Preventing Tangling: Small parts won't fall out and get lost inside the machine.
Ease of Handling: You can transport the entire sheet without parts shifting or falling out.

CAM/Cutting Machine Settings & Tips

Blade Type: Use a standard fine-point blade.
Blade Depth/Pressure: This is critical. Set the pressure just high enough to cleanly score through the perforation depth. Too much pressure will cut ragged edges or deform the paper.
Speed: A medium speed is usually best. Too fast can cause the blade to skip or tear.
Mat: Use a standard grip cutting mat to prevent the paper from shifting.
Goal: The machine should make a clean scoring sound. After cutting, you should be able to cleanly peel the part away from the matrix sheet.
